Just wondering if someone would know anything about these two oil burners?

There are two grant models, the Euroflame and the Vortex.
The Vortex is the dearer of the two,(not sure just how much at the moment) with a 97% efficiency rating. The Euroflame has 93% efficiency rating. My plumber told me it doesn't matter really what one you go for, its more to do with the setting/servicing of them. I just thought if the dearer one would save oil in the long run, it might be the one to go for, but what do I know.

Thanks on advance.

Sorry for posting in the wrong place.

Thanks Morv, yes, I was told Grants are very good and thanks for the extra info. I"m not sure what one of the two models to go for, the Vortex or the Euroflame.

Vortex all the way. I think the old euroflames were c or b ratings. I must admit the condensing pipe from the vortex can be a pain if there is no gully about. Also the vortex needs to be set up properly to run at its most efficient ( not oversized )

Yes, that's the thing, not over sized is important as far as I was told.

I'm not thick, but it's don't make sense to me, not that familiar with oil burners, so I had a Google & I still can't see what makes the difference with servicing & commissioning the boiler, other than internal & external boilers.

Again, I'm no expert, but I would have thought that too
