Graohics card bjorked?

The story so far: Played Oblivion 100+ hours. Game crashes. Game won't reload. Test with 3dmark05. Loads first test, shows normal screen for about 1/2 sec. then crash to a black screen. Hard-reboot. Same story with Oblivion and Doom 3.

So far I've replaced drivers, used driver cleaner, checked BIOS, checked molex is connected to graphics card.

Problem seems to be 3d rendering in games etc. Fine in 2D. PSU is about 6 months old.

Current situation - p*ssed off.

Any ideas? I'm not considering upgrading until vista/Dx10.

Problem has fixed itself. I must have done something last night - it's fine today. Please delete and thanx for the replies.
