Hi,

I think my fan is on it's way out, it's just the standard one that comes on the nvidia geforce 9400.

It a rattling noise which has got worse, I've tried cleaning the dust away and oiling it and nothing.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement fan, I can't find any suitable ones on ocuk.

Thanks.

I'd consider looking for third party coolers rather than just replacing the fan. For relatively extra money you can probably get a passive/ much quieter/ better cooling solution.

Theres a few on OCUk that might work.

tbh thats an old card that can be had for <£50, is it worth spending money on another cooler/fan?
you might wanna take this oppertunity to upgrade if funds allow

Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Pro VGA Quiet Cooling Solution is what you want its about £10 plus p&p but Overclockers dont sell it.

Yeh I'm just going to replace the card, however I only use the computer for internet and music and in a few months I probably will replace the thing with a laptop.

So I'm in the hunt for a replacement.

Ideally I'd like a cheap pci e with no fan.

I'll look at that recommendation varkanoid cheers.

Thanks.

just a further note reason I suggested it was I bought a new 9400 for my Dad's web server and the fan was noisy and quite pathetic it was hitting 65c at idle. Put the Arctic on, albeit its a bit overkill and it knocked the temp down to 40c.
