Hi,

I currently have a Shuttle XPC SB83G5 running as a media PC hooked up to my LCD tv via the integrated gfx card using a standard D-Sub link. I was planning to use a surplus Sapphire X850XT gfx card (double width)so that I could use a DVI-HDMI cable. Unfortunately the PCI-E slot in the shuttle is single width!!! My options are:

1) Modify the X850XT with a thirdparty fan-heatsink to be single width (any recommendations?)

2) Buy a single slot gfx card such as the 7600GT by BFG? (good choice?)

Cheers

Paul

1) Don't think they exist. I have a shuttle, and I had to cut a hole in the side of my case when I fitted a Zalman.

2)An excellent choice. I think the sapphire x1950 Pro is also single slot if you want more power, but the 7600 GT sounds good.
