I developed a slight problem with my display last night. The screen turned snowy like an old portable with no ariel in it. I restarted the pc but still snowy,I then went to safe mode and got in fine and done a full clean of all ATI entries and then re-installed 10.7 display driver only, but still snowy on restart.
This time I went into safe mode and uninstalled graphic card and all ATI entries and in device manager the card now showed up as a standard vga card. Did restart and got into windows normally but with limited resolution.
From here again i installed 10.8 beta driver only but on restart still snowy.
From here I turn all syytem off and goto bed to awake this morning with the intention of doing a full windows install.But the pc boots up into normal mode just fine and so far so good.
So my question is has anyone experianced this snowy screen before and did they find a solution as at the moment i am thinking it is a matter of time till it happens again.
