I know this is a bit like talking politics or religion, but is there any recent guidelines about what graphics boards are good to put in a cruncher?
I currently have an i7-930 with a basic video board. I want to add a decent card to it without going insane over the cost (the computer cost 510Euro in total so far). I think if I spend in the 200-500 Euro range I can increase my output a decent amount. The question becomes is it more effective to add more GPU horsepower or buy additional computers given an i7-930 isn't that much more than a high end GPU board.
