Afternoon All, I'm after a bit of alternative advice for a PC build. My friend is looking to buy a computer which will handle photoshop and other design programs with relative ease with lots of storage for his customers.

I'm thinking naturally he will need a decent processor but not sure what else to consider, please can someone advise or even spec me? He will need everything... OS, case... the lot. He honestly doesn't care what it looks like as long as it has good airflow.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

He will certainly need to state his budget otherwise skys the limit.

And monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers?

No need for peripherals. He was suggesting £500, I told him to dream on but can something be done on a budget going up to £1000?

Ryzen, but the cheaper 6 core ones are suppose to be released around early April - http://www.anandtech.com/show/11202/amd-announces-ryzen-5-april-11th

But here is something with a eight core version.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,127.87
(includes shipping: £0.00)

Motherboards are hard to come by and the supply is meant to get better at the end of the month.

Used a noise dampened case to maybe help keep it quiet, its a budget case and thats about it.
