Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend any software to emulate a graphics equalizer for all of my PC's sound output? I'm using onboard sound (which is still pretty decent) but it doesn't have any equalizer features.

I use the Deezer service for most of my music and sadly it doesn't have any eq features either, I'm quite picky about getting the mix right for my music!

Cheers,

Jamie

control panel->sounds->playback->properties->enhancements then equalizer tick and click on the 3 dots to edit and save a profile.

Assuming you are using a version of Windows.

That has never been a thing, so I assume it is new in 8.1/10? It certainly isn't there in Windows 7!

e; Just checked my Windows 10 machine, the option isn't there either... So it must be some obscurity caused by your audio hardware, or maybe you're imagining things? :p

OP, what sound card/device do you have? There are usually EQ options in the control panel for your audio device. For example Realtek HD audio settings, or Asus Xonar Audio Centre, or IDT Audio Control Panel, etc~

What audio device do you have? It definitely isn't on my Windows 10 machine!!

And I have never seen it on any of my Windows 7 machines, which have had various sound cards and built in audio devices.

It must be new in Windows 10, and only be present for certain audio devices!

realtek HD on my lappy, think it was the same with win8, which it came with.

Its not new to Windows 10 but it is sound hardware specific - mine has general, tone, custom, levels, sound blaster and advanced tabs instead of general, levels, enhancements and advanced with an X-Fi and the EQ is part of the creative suite.
