Graphic probs in CS Source

Hey guys,

Hope this is in the right section, anyways, i decided to Download CS source again from my steam account, thing is when u load it, it runs extremly badly, its very jerky and practically unplayable..

Now ive got a 3700+, 2 gig of Gskill and a 6800gs (xxx ed)... i used loads of combos of settings. and no change, the AA AF are on application pref..

Have i missed anything?

Sorry, here are the basics, have to ask em.

Are you running DirectX 9?

Is your internet connection ok/what is your connection.

Is 'Wait for vertical sync' Off?

What is your power supply?

Have you got HDR running under the advanced graphics options? Might be worth disabling that

I have DRX 9 installled, Vert sync is off, power supply is the Tagan 530watt, 2 meg broadband (and i experiance this when i create my own server)

+ the video stress test looks fine + smooth

....

Whats your stress test result?

launch options > -dxlevel 81 -heapsize 1048576

better fps, better hit reg, barely any noticable graphics differance

give it a try, also try using modified drivers EG omega drivers on ATi are FAR better for source than the normal ati drivers, see here for recommended ones: http://forums.caleague.com/showthread.php?t=549
