graphic screwups etc on my laptop

god please, tell me what I've done!



it's been like this since I installed it, re-installed and it's the same

system is a sony PCG-R600HFPD

note "t" is highlighted etc and light bits on bars
this gets more and more so, (most letters are highlighted gray or just covered in black) till I can't use the system and have to reboot.

Graphics card overheating?
Can you check if it does the same in windows?

no windows install on here atm, doesn't feel hot, wasn't doing it before when windows was installed.

It wont be overheating... its too specific in the corruption.

Id say its the graphics drivers perhaps... weird scren resolution... not too sure

nope
I was edging towards overheat tbh as it gets worse over a evening and is all better after a reboot.

Try running another OS and see if it does the same.
Any Live CD should do I guess.
