Graphic Software for Mac

I have been trying to find and settle with a Graphic software for the Mac since I went into the Mac Worl. But not been able to find one that i can settle on.

Can some of you suggest any that are possibly free..

I like one that can do a few photo touching and be able to compress Jpeg when saving.

I don't wish to sound nasty, but have you ever Googled anything in your life?

You've made about fifty threads in here in two weeks with what seems like no prior effort to find anything out for yourself...

I am sorry, but i do google and as I am a new mac user I though I ask the long mac user their point of view and comment and suggestion on software they like. I though this what this forum is for.

Anyway if your like that I wont bother posting anymore....

What did you use on Windows?

I did use.

Adobe Photo Shop Element
Photoshop

I am just seeing if there is anything good that free first if not then I prob go and purchase Adobe PhotoShop Element for Mac

I do... took abit of getting use to... but it's free and powerful

Rookie, don't buy any Adobe photoshop stuff till the UB version is released - hopefully soon...

I go and get GIMP and give that ago. I suppose I gotta dig the DVD out too to install X11

Yup... you'll need X11 - you can get http://www.pure-mac.com/graph.html#seashore - which doesn't need X11, OSX native.

I've never tried that properly tho.

Gimp don't look the nicest with X11 running and all but it works. Free. Wait till Photoshop CS3 comes out or something...

CS3 be heavy on my pockets.... Was only thinking of getting PhotoShop Element which is currently about £50

I find seashore nowhre near as powerful as GIMP, think of it more as a simple photo / picture manipulation tool rather than a photoshop replacement

What is it actully wrong with GIMP? Is it a bit slow as I read at some place people say it a bit slow and not all that good as it require X11

Anyone know of a simple MS-Paint like image editor for OS X? Really, just a pixel editor - no need for anti-aliased brushes, layers, etc.

I have tried GIMP and Seashore but they're not too hot.

That's not what I meant, I do it too, I made a thread yesterday about money software.. it's just sometimes you don't even *try* to solve anything yourself

I have taken loads of photos today.. Rather than putting them onto iPhoto I like to have them in their own folders in my picture folder. But I am trying to find a easy way to browse through the photos in that folder and be able to delete what i dont want with ease. But at the moment i am having to keep opening them to view and delete what i dont want.

is there a good little Photo Browser that can browse through the photos and be able to delete while i am flick through them.

Whats wrong with iPhoto?

I found with iPhoto when imported it storing 2 copies and this taking room up on my HD.
