Graphical error in Farcry demo - Whats wrong?

Hi I get these error in farcry demo and not in any other games - I wouldnt care normally and put it down to the game but it also caused a crash with a blue screen which flashed something quickly about nv4_displ.dll or abouts.







I suspect I overclocked my graphics card ram too much but what are your opinions?

+ This is on the highest setting but looks turd lol - the water is just see through - is that right?

I had that, just turned down the quality settings (6600gt)

I think there must be something wrong with the demo - just ran everything stock and still get those graphical errors

I got the same when i oc my graphics. Large amounts on black, the odd flash of white and then pop, blue screen & restart.
Without any oc'ing, on max settings, parts of the screen disappear, like walkways and when underwater.

I'm guessing its just the game - I can overclock and it handles games a lot more intensive than farcry, farcry doesnt even push my hardware in fairness but has these errors.

Early iterations of Far Cry (e.g. demo, retail) have some texture bugs particularly on nvidia hardware and with some driver versions.

Buy the full game (it's great) and patch it to latest version, problem solved

Maybe re-download the demo from a different site might work?

I had that same problem untill getting the latest patch. 1.3 I think?

I had that problem but update patches sorted it. Can't patch the demo though, I think, so you'll need full game.

these people are right, the demo is an old game now and doesnt support the older chipsets. we're talking 9800pro so you need to get the game and patch it with 1.3 and it will be fine.
