Graphical glitches in bios after checksum error?

Hi all,
Not sure if the two are mutually related, but I started my new build up and noticed a checksum error right away. I pressed F1 to go into the bios and there were graphical glitches... I restarted and they were gone!

Is this a sign of a bad GPU or is it only related to a bios issue or both? I'm getting a tad worried about it. I can't check it until tomorrow no due to the computer being at work. I just want to know some thoughts?

At first I thought it might be a corrupt bios, but now the GPU is on my mind as the culprit... Anyone have any idea?

If it were the GPU would the glitches always be present? Also as you're saying motherboard... could I not update the bios or change the battery or something?
