Hi there, I know the 460 cards support nvidia surround, but I was wondering on the memory limitations of this card and the technology of surround when it comes to running games at the highest settings.
I often get video memory low warnings on my 460 SLI setup (1gb version) when running battlefield bad company 2, crysis, crysis 2 etc unles I disable desktop composition in compatibility, so I was wondering how much more memory would be required to show the output on more than 1 monitor? Would it even require any more memory as the graphics card already uses, as it has to generate the entire world anyway, but only display as much as the monitor will allow?
I'm hoping my SLI setup will be ok for 3d surround too, but I don't know unles I try it by buying another 2 120hz monitors, which I can't afford, and may not even work anyway.
