Hi guys. Just looking for some advice for a friend.

He currently has a half decent computer but has no graphics card. I think he's currently using the Intel i5 onboard HD graphics. His ram is 8gb and he is running through a 1080p Monitor.

He is basically wanting to add a graphics card to enable him to use Photoshop/Illustrator more smoothly and efficiently.

He's currently seen a Nvidia Quadro 2000 but is they something much better for a better price. His budget is around the £100-£250 range.

Kind regards

Thanks gregster. Well ive just had a text and he is maximum budget is £400 so prity much the quadro price. Could he not get any better performance results past a 650, or will it literally stop at the 650 for performance gains?

Regards

You're welcome.

PhotoShop isn't very demanding, but of course, something like a 780 will do it quicker and he could play the odd game at top settings if he so wanted :D

Hi Gregster.

Think we have decided on a GTX 770. I don't suspect you could recommend a PSU for his system please? I know the 770's take two 8 pin?
