Graphics and sound card

I'm here doing this because there's no sound coming out of my speakers/headphones.

Do the sound and graphics card look ok here?

The torque on the graphics has been there for years. Sound card has been there for a few weeks.

That position is anything but OK for long term reliability:
Above hot graphics cards whose cooler doesn't even push heat out but keeps circulating it inside the case.
And while water cooler moves CPU's heat to exhaust there's nothing forcing airflow for upper area of motherboard.


For short term problem you sure sound card is still default playback device in Windows sound settings?
Driver/OS update could have hijacked sound.
Also check that anything isn't muted in Windows mixer.
