Graphics ati catalyst control centre

Sorry ati noob here with new 4850.
Have overclocked to 650 gpu clock 1020 mem clock,but current values are on gpu 500 mem 700?.
Do these cards rest as so to speak and boost up under application.
Sisoft can see the overclocked settings but cpuz cant, cpuz just see the current values.
I am I being thick here?.
Feel free to beat me!

As for your query i don't know as in CCC it says my 4890 is running on a lot lower speeds than it should but i don't care it runs games right nice!

When your GFX card is at idle CCC automaticaly downclocks it (my 5870 current value - 500/300, saves power keeps your card cooler reducing wear and tear.

Yep hes right, the value will increase once your playing a game etc...
Keeps the gpu a lot cooler and saves energy
