graphics benchmarks for laptops

Hi

I looking to buy a new laptop (upto £700) and I've seen a few now and was wondering if anybody had any figures on graphics performance.

I've seen them with nvidia 8400gs , 8600, ATIx2300 cards and various on board ones but I cant seem to find how they perform and if they will play games like sims 2 etc.

try and get a 8600gt ddr3, it makes a massive difference over the 8600ddr2. Something like the dell 1530 you can get around that price.

Mine gets about 4500 3dmarks with a 2ghz processor (overclocked), which i reckon is about the same as a X1800XT desktop.

Your right mate, I have a desktop thats c2d @ 1.8Ghz with a X1800XT and I score 4300 3dmarks.

I've seen many very nice overclocks with the 8600M GT on the M1530, see some +5500 3dmarks after a prod

I have a M1530 on order and I can't wait to get my hands on it.. gonna be amazing having a laptop that outdoes my desktop for the price I paid!
