Graphics breakup in browser

When I use Firefox or IE on my new PC when I drag the browser window around the screen the browser becomes corrupt.

Games are fine and so are other non browser windows.

Has anyone come across this before?

It isn't as bad as in the picture unless I really shake the window about a lot with the mouse.

i5 @3.8Ghz, Win XP, 4gig ram, 5850 Gpu 10.1 drivers.

Looks like it could be a driver bug. I've seen a few reports saying the 2D performance of the 5xxx GPUs was substandard.

I've just tried a fresh install of XP and and the problem is just the same.

It might be the low 2d clocks.

Thanks guys, it does look like a 2d problem with some of the cards.

I've read where ATI have a hotfix being tested but if this fails I think the card will be going back.

My only fix for it at the moment is to turn off show window contents while dragging.

I haven't had any crashes or grey screens or lines others have reported but I haven't been using it that much either even though I had the card a few months back.
