Hi,
I have a Seasonic G 650W PSU which is semi-modular. One of the permanently attached cables is a 6+2pin PCI-E connector with an additional 6+2pin PCI-E connector on the end of the same cable - similar to SATA power connectors used to power multiple HDDs with a single cable.
My graphics card, a Sapphire 7870 XT, requires 2 6pin PCI-E power connectors. My question is, would it be alright to power this card with the single power cable with 2 connectors?
The PSU did come with a modular 6pin PCI-E cable so I could easily use this, but obviously it would mean less cable clutter if I didn't have to.
