Hey again :)

Im planning on downgrading my graphics card but there is a lot of options.

Im going to be selling my HD5970 but am not sure what to replace it with. I can sell it for approximately £400.

Im looking for a card in the region of £200-£250 to replace it that can be close to its capabilities as possible but also to counter in best bang for buck value.

Im using a 3 monitor setup but only use one for gaming at 1920x1080.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

£400 for a 5970? Must be at auction i guess?

Yeah it is didnt know if it was infringement of the rules and regulations on the forum though so didnt mention it.

that GTX480 does look very nice. Quite tempted...

are there any crossfire/SLI combos for a similar price that might be better then the 480 or 6950?

the gigabyte 480 soc is enough to run games today at max levels,

imo one would do for now and you could always sli them in the future

it's up to you though, depends on your monitor/monitors and resolutions you play at

Two of THESE

true, in order to use all three screens at the same time you're going to want a 6950/two 5850s. Nvidia surround only works in SLI and is generally considered inferior to eyefinity, so if you get the gtx480 you'll have one redundant monitor.
