Lo Guys

I'm looking for a Graphics Card for my new build and been thinking of going for a 8800GT/GTS or maybe a GTX I don't mind spending upto £250, but I see the new 9800's cards are out soon what are your thoughts on the new cards (are they worth waiting for) and do you think I might be in budget for a 9800GT or whatever its going to be called (looking for pounds to performance mainly).

all the best guys
Monk -

Buy an evga card then u can use the step up program, then u can use a 8800GT/S now :D

TBH not enough concrete info. about the 9800 series available to say with certainty how good etc.- not that I've seen anyway
If you have paitence wait
If not then my vote would be for 512GTS & not for GTX BUT this is based only on my own , totally unsupported , view that when the new cards come the GTX will depreciate faster than the GTS .
Then again looking at my track record in this type of guessing game you might be better advised to read and ignore:D

Well i'm pretty sure £250 won't buy you a 9800. No one really knows but i think it will still be another 2-3 months before we see them and i can see them being a lot more than £250. I would say buy an 8800gt now and sell it later. I don't think you will lose too much. My 8800gt plays everything flawless (apart from crysis) the thing is, no current card plays crysis flawless I.E 1680x1050,very high, 2/4x AA 60+fps so if you spent £250 on a GTX you would probably find youself upgrading at the same time as if you got the GT.
