Graphics card advice

Hi,

I have a nvidia 560Ti, but am thinking buying an upgrade. That would allow me to use the nvidia 560Ti in my second computer, which currently has a 5 year old ati card.

My main computer has a 2500k cpu, 8gb of ram, asus sabertooth p67 board and a corsair 850 AX psu. My monitor is a 24" dell u2412m.

My budget is around £250. I was thinking of a nvidia 680, or ati 7950.

I'd be grateful for any recommendations.

I don't think you would want one if it was £2.50 with a free game.

OP the best bang for buck is the HD 7950, it is at least as quick as the GTX 680 and a lot cheaper.

For £2.50? Don't be crazy. I'd have that right away, I'd then sell it and buy a GTX580 to play with some CUDA accelerated apps.

i know a lot like nvidia but i believe if its good then use it no matter where it comes from and ATI are good cards

How does the ati 7950 rate against the nvidia 660Ti? The price is similar. Anyone have experience of these cards?

7950 has comparable performance to a GTX680, i.e. quite a lot more powerful than a 660Ti
