WISH ME LUCK :P

Its a bit of an old PC now. But does the job for me :D....well...sorta lol

P4 3.0ghz
2.75 GB ddr2 533
Intel d925xcv motherboard
Hiper type R psu
and the graphics card which you see at the top :P

its got 4 slots.

2x1gb 1x512 1x256

Ah.. that must be slowing it down seeing as it can't run in dual channel mode. Personally I would run with just the 2x1GB sticks for now in dual channel. No real need for more then 2GB atm. If there is ever a need then pick up a cheap 2x1GB kit.

Instead of makin a new thread, jus thought i'd bump this back :P

So anyways the prob hasnt gone an am pretty much fed up with it now.

on a bit of a budget but which would be best for me

3850pro 256mb or wait for the 8800gt 256mb version?

max res on monitor is only 1440x900 an with the other parts of me pc gettin on aboit would it be a waste to go for the 512 3850??

not willing to pay the silly prices of the 8800gt 512 versions (skint enough :p )

Same thing happened to me but in Crysis. The GPU wasn't overheating, the max was 75c. I think it was the drivers, cause i installed new ones and i haven't seen it since.
