My computer was in standby/power svaing mode for about 2hrs and when i went to turn it back on there was no picture on the monitor.

I automatically tried another another monitor i had lying around (im 99% sure this one works) and still got nothing out of the both outputs of the graphics card.

I seem to be getting the normal beeps on startup, The system powers up the case fans, CPU cooler/fan and graphics card fans spin up as does the hard drive (the only thing with hard drive is that the activity light on front of case doesnt appear to be flashing on start up).

I really don't know what to do next or what to look for.

I re-posted this here because i didnt appear to be getting any replies in general and thought maybe because it wasnt posted in teh right place.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Turn the power off at the wall, leave it 10 seconds, then switch back on.

Chances are that on the next boot up it will work just fine. ;)

I went to bed last night before you posted that so while i was sleeping everything was unplugged.

I tried it again this morning and it loaded up to the point where i get the "Resuming Windows" screen (i notice it doesnt say Starting Windows) it just hangs on a black screen after that.

I switched it off again and and tried to bring up the bios post message, From there i get taken to a windows screen where one of the options is "Delete Restorarion Data and Proceed to System Boot Menu".

I haven't clicked it yet but is that the option i should be going for ?

And also has this stupid problem been caused by system hibernation and ami better to just switch that off altogether ?
