Hi,
I've come home from work to be told that the PC doesn't work.
It won't get past the boot sequence. I've disconnected all unnecessary cards and drives and tried the memory in different combinations (1 stick in slot 1, different one if slot 2 etc) but it still won't boot.
I'm beginning to think it might be the graphics card but, unfortunately the only space card I have is AGP.
My current (broken?) one is a Sapphire 8800 GT PCI Express.
I have 2 choices.
Buy a keep and cheerful card to see if it will work and then buy a better one when I know I have to or
Buy a good card straight off and hope that it will sort it out (the card will be used at some point in the future)
If I went cheap and cheerful I'd probably visit my local purple fronted computer store (needs must).
I'd be looking at approx £150 for a new card.
If I took option 2, what would be a good card to go for (main usage is LoTRO and some video editing).
