Hey guys, i'm pretty new to pc gaming and my graphics card makes a slight buzzing sound when playing games and during benchmarks sometimes squeals (on high frame rates). I checked the fan and nothing is blocking it and I blew it out to make sure there was nothing inside.
Do I need a new card or is it ok for it to do this? if any more info is required then I will be more than happy to supply it.

Thanks

The squeal only happens when frame rate goes through the roof but the buzz happens when I play games, the buzz is coming fromk the graphics card but its not the fan

I have a buzzing issue too, i'm fairly certain it's coming fromt he capacitor. Have a look to see if you can get it RMA'd :)

Thanks to both of you. I jsut read online that it may be coil whine and is a common issue with cards, i'm going to take the card apart and see if I can find the offending coil or cap to see if its that

You're welcome.

If the card is under warranty then you don't want to be taking it apart.

I thought the squeeling was more akin to coil whine and the buzzing might be something else...

I had coil whine with a new graphics card once. Turned out my PSU was on the way out. Replaced that and no more coil noise.
