okay i thought id check here before i RMA.. i think..hope its still under warrenty...

basicaly my rig in the sig, last few days has been randomly going no signal to the screen (music ect would carry on like nothing happned for the next 20 secconds) then it would totaly restat from scratch, ive tried many things but i THINK its the graphics card

i have removed my overclock on CPU, tried multipul ATI overclock settings, turning them off, and it still did it, i have reinstalled drivers for the GFX card, i have since removed it and pc seems stable again.... could a graphics card do this? or is it a deeper underlying problem? :(

Probably the GPU. If at all possible try it in another system first.. I know.. easy said hard to do. just to be 100% positive :)

I take it by stable you mean running on the MB integrated graphics?

Sounds like RMA time for the GPU to be honest

Exact same problem on my ATI 4870. Turned out to be my tuniq tower back plate shorting the card. I had literally taken the card out multiple times too and failed to notice anything untoward each time. I have also uninstalled CCC and installed the driver only and I havent had a game bomb out on me since.

the psu is http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-045-OK&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat= it has two 8pin pci-e connectors, mine uses two 6pin, but ive heard it runs perfect with only one in aswel.

reading the rails it has more than enough juice, and has run it perfect for the last near year.

nothing in my case seems to get hot, psu feels cold to touch at all times, i highly doubt im pulling half of the psu's total wattage

And i am unable to test, as the rest of the machines in the house are laptops apart from one pentium D with an apg? slot

i guess ill just RMA and hope it is that
