I have lost track of the power of the latest graphics cards. What are the top five cards at the moment and how much more powerful than my current one are they?

Thanks

may not be 100% correct
4870x2 crossfire support dependent
4850x2 crossfire support dependent / GTX280 depending on reviewer/fanboy/Resolution
4870/GTX260 216 core depending on reviewer/fanboy
GTX260 original
9800GTX+/4850 depending on reviewer/fanboy

your card most likely fits in near the bottom in non optimised SLi games and around the GTX280 in SLi optimised games

So not many noticable upgrade options worth the while at the moment for me then.

there are suppose to be new cards from nvidia and ati rumored to be out q1 or q2 of 09, so i would wait in your situation unless you can get a very good return on your current card and but something newer that may keep its value longer

These 'new' cards are nothing more then small tweaks to their top end cards. Doubt they will be any faster. 9800X2 is way more then enough, for atleast another 2 years I'd think.
