Graphics Card Choices!!

i think noise in general shoudlnt be a big concern with any 560 ti, they are known for being quiet cards (it is a shame to hear that msi are having problems with new revision of cooler i always viewed them as company that didnt cheap out on aftermarket coolers)

thats cool, as long as you are enjoying and your happy with your card thats great

i am just saying that the newer versions of the cards are for some reason louder than the last versions that is all... mainly when the cooler is pushed up past 50% like Si105 stated.

they dont cheap out on custom coolers for there cards

i have never heard of a problem with any msi coolers

but it is just what i have read, and i just want to make sure people know about it before they do get a card and if they get a card that has the newer cooler on it, it may be quite loud

i wouldn't want to buy a card then run it and hear a fan spinning horribly loud inside my case...

i have fitted my whole case with bit fenix spectre blue led fans recently and its quiet as hell! the only thing you can hear is the hdds making noises when speeding up to find something i want to play or run! thats it

ok fair enough, if it is only noise it may just be a bios issue, i remember reading about msi twin frozr 570's having bios switch which would adjust cooling vs noise.

never read about anything like that before...

a simple bios flash or even a switch that sorts it out could be a good answer for it then

Thanks for all the comments guys! I ended up buying the 2gb msi gtx 560 ti. i read a lot of reviews online and it seamed to be up there with the best in the 560 range. Wanted to go for a top end 560 over a bottom end 570.

Interesting about the msi cooler.

I don't know about old/new designs, but from what I've read/watched it seems that it is silent when idle, but gets louder than the reference 560 cooler when under load.
Can anyone confirm this?

If so it is a big turn off for me.

Is the gigabyte 560ti oc quieter than reference, under load?
