Looking to get a new laptop, as my one is on the verge of death.

It has a 7800GTX GO graphics card in at the moment, and i want to spend around £500 - £700 on a new laptop.

The only game i ever play, is Command and Conquer 3. So ive been looking around and it seems the best card i can get for around £500 is an Nvidia 9600GS. I checked on Notebookcheck.com and it leads me to this chart...

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html

Now, it has Command and Conquer listed as one of the games, and it also has the 7800GTX GO on the list of cards. Apparently C&C3 at high graphics is red ("stutterings") But my 7800GTX can play it on Ultra high settings with AA on maximum at 1600x1050 and its perfectly smooth, even with tonnes of units onscreen?

This leads me to believe that the 9600GS which is also listed as red, could possibly play C&C3.

What do you guys think? Is it going to be worth it? The next card up is at £999 (Nvidia 8700m GT) and i dont really want to spend that much money :( Anyone got this card (9600GS) in a laptop, and could give me any feedback? Someone that actually has C&C3 set up with it that could give me some info would be even better!

Thanks in advance...

I don't have a 9600GS, but I do have an 8600M GT which I believe is very similar for gaming performance. (The laptop only cost £450 over a year ago).

I can play C&C 3 @ 1440x900 on high with 4xAA at around 30fps. Like you, I don't notice any stutterings even though that site lists it as red.
