Will be upgrading my FX5700 to probably a 6600GT AGP. Would it be wise to get additional cooling in my PC i.e Arctic Cooling or something.

At the moment I don't have any additional cooling in my PC apart from the standard case fan when I bought the PC.

What would your recommendations be, given I have no idea. If you do recommend Arctic Cooling how do they fit into the PC.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Noticed you said 'case fan' instead of 'case fans'. It's usually a good idea to have at least 2 (80mm) or 1 (120mm) fan in the front for an intake. Then something simlar towards the rear or top of the case for your outtake.

You probably won't need any extra cooling (apart from that above) unless you're planning on overclocking to be honest. This will provide you with a well ventilated case which is the first step towards lower temps.

Just had a quick look inside my PC then. I have the fan that spins on top of the CPU socket and a fan inside the power supply box at the top (rear) of the PC case.

Is that adequate for a 6800 or 6600 series graphics cards.

Thanks again.

not really mate.

You need some case fans installed in there. At least one blowing in at the front and one blowing out towards the rear or at the top of the case.

Akasa make good quality fans. You may want to have a look at them first. :)
