Graphics Card Died - What now?

Have you tried baking it? Coil and tape the plastic connectors, remove heat sink etc, put it in a oven 190 for 20 minutes.

it will reflow the solder and reconnect all the cracked solder joints

This is a genuine fear of mine. I’m at 1440p and 144hz, so I appreciate the performance of my 2080Ti. But if it goes pop... I’m not liking the idea of spending the best part of a grand to get back to where I am now (I bought this for £500 just before the 3000 cards dropped).

Can you not send it in for repairs using warranty?

The same thing happened to me three years ago when the last mining craze happened. Unlike today, where there is no stock, retailers were charging extortionate prices for their cards, which were sometimes double or more the rrp. I was boned. I ended up baking a gtx 470 blower card back to life, after falling back to a gts 8800. A week or so later Overclockers forum offered a GTX 1080 and a 1080Ti for rrp prices to members, so I grabbed the 1080. I don't know if this will happen again. What is currently going on is clearly the worst it has ever been.

I'd follow the suggestions on here. There maybe more 1050ti's soon but I wouldn't pay more than a £100 for one. Anything high-end is gone or will go to miners and scalpers, and you won't keep up. Alternatively, look for a used 750Ti as others suggested. I saw a bid for one that's sitting at £26 with 16hour left on the clock. There's quite a lot of used 750Ti. It's better than nothing and the cost shouldn't leave a nasty taste in your mouth.
