I have a Shutte SN95G5 PC V1.x and I have upgraded the CPU from an AMD Athon 64 3000+ (ADA3000DIK4BI) to a AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, 2.0 GHz (ADA3800DAA5BV).

Acording to http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Shuttle/SN95G5_(FN95V1.X).html this CPU is supported.

The system seems to boot fine into Windows 7, however my graphics card which is a Radeon X1650 fails no longer works. Device manager shows the following error:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported a problem. (code 14)

I have:

1) Un-installed and re-installed the driver (Windows 7 driver)
2) Tried to install the catalyst drivers. No luck here :-( as there is no windows 7 beta driver for my card (Vista drivers do not install)
3) removed and re-inserted the graphis card
4) Run a windows repair
5) Upgraded motherboard BIOS to latest version

Before the CPU uprade the card worked jut fine.

Any ideas?

I'm fairly sure I had this issue with mine with Vista, can't remember if it was the same on XP.

From what I remember there is a resource conflict with the ATI Graphics Cards & Dual Core S939 CPUs in these :(

TBH I'm not sure if there is a fix other than changing to a Nvidia Graphics Card or back to a single core CPU.

I think I ended up changing to a Nvidia card although was a little while ago now
