Graphics Card Failure Rates Published

how are they pushed to far?

but by pushed too far, i mean clock/vram speeds tend to be too high by default, they are not the only manufacture to do this imho

IIRC it was something to do with the original cards bios when paired with an x570/3000 series cpu
the card would just fail to post sometimes, think it was a high voltage issue on startup

i looked into it when i was after a red devil card a while back and decided against it, i might be wrong its been awhile but i think that power was the issue

but iv never had much luck with power colour cards, think i had one that behaved, now i tend to stick with msi/sapphire (lower end sapphire)

power wasn't any more than other cards and the VRM was better than most as well as the cooling solution. voltage was the same

then i wonder why they did fail with such a high rate, if not due to a bios overvoltage at startup, looks like its only across the power colour line
i assume its confirmed faulty cards and are not just returns, returns would make sense for people to just test them out and prob go and buy the nvidia

but id like to assume they get tested and then people get them returned or pay a restocking fee
could just be a bad batch i guess

My Powercolour Dragon 5700XT is know to run warm, also I think the heat pads aren't fully aligned to the VRAM, they get warm. Never had any issues with it once it was on latest WHQL drivers and I stopped undervolting (it forgot my settings and I just left it). One obvious fix is they should remove the plastic shroud near the exhaust vent as it prevents the flow of air.

It's a tradeoff though, I went with a 2 slot cooler as that's what would fit my case. In reality I underestimated how much would fit in this case. In the future I'm going SFX PSU and 2.5 slot 3 fan cooler, which I think is the minimum for the more demanding cards now.

I feel like PowerColour has always been a somewhat iffy brand on the lower end of the AMD scale. Sometimes they have got it right but other times it's gone so very wrong for them with cheap parts. This one might be showing they got it wrong this time around. Sapphire tend to be the brand to beat if you want to go AMD, I did have a Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 270X that died in just 8 months though a few years back. Got a replacement sent that only lasted a year before having similar issues, that was a pretty bad series of cards from AMD in general as I recall, both in build quality and drivers. Some of the best cards I've ever owned were Sapphire cards though.

Curious about EVGA. No surprise to see the lesser known brands having higher RMA rates.

Now the true question is which company offers the best customer service to UK/EU customers?

another reminder to stay away from power colour
those red devil cards are just always pushed too far

rest look as expected, thought the 2080ti would have been slightly higher though
It won't include the 2080Tis that were sold direct by Nvidia. Quite a few of those early cards seemed to have issues.

Hi friends!

Have a beautiful day ...Pls, I have some questions:

1. If it is only the german market ...is it the same in other countries ?

2. Could the ambient temperature have more influence (in other countries) ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE.
They seem to ship to quite a few European countries.

Regarding temperatures, it would also depend on case cooling.
