Graphics Card Failure?

I wouldn't run Furmark at all. That kills cards.

It looks like the video memory could be packing in, but see what others say first.

The matrix?

Seriously I would do all the normal first. Take the card out, good clean. Once re-fitted check fans are spinning & cables are all fitted correctly.

Yup done that, I did uninstall the current driver by going into safe mode where none of those blue lines appeared although after restart and back into normal mode they are there again.

Oh how about this for another oddity, the Intel Raid screen that appears after the initial BIOS screen has a mishmash of text instead of "Press CTRL-I" to Enter Raid Screen.

If you can borrow a gpu to test i would do that. Just to rule out a bad cable or psu.

Or maybe a fresh windows install. I would do the free things first.

Used DDU to try and properly clean out the driver, then trying to install the latest one just causes my monitor to go to sleep.

All very annoying since my NAS also refused to start, making backing up a tad harder :p

Just finally decided it was time to retire my whole PC, the graphics card (GTX 780) is 5 years old with the Intel i7-3820 and Asus P9X79 Pro being nearly 6 years old.

It would still be useful to ascertain what caused the problem, so I would also be inclined to drop in a cheap card (maybe borrow one if you can) and see if that's the cause.

Fair enough if you want to upgrade the rest of your system, though. I think most of us can understand the need for that every now and again. :)

It's had a good run so that's not a bad idea.

That said if you plan to do that buy a new graphics card first and test the old system with it. You may be okay for a while long depending on what you use the PC for.
