Graphics Card Fault Help

Hi Guys

About 2 weeks ago I upgraded my rig with new cpu and gpu aswell as some well deserved watercooling.

I've now got
Asus Sabertooth 990FX MBU
FX8350 CPU
8GB Teamgroup DDR3 1600MHZ RAM
AMD R9 390X Powercolor Devils edition GPU
650 Watt Superflower PSU

Rig was running for about 2weeks without hitch and then this morning while playing ARMA 3 the pc shutdown and smell of burning followed.

Did a strip down and starting powering up fan controller and waterpump on a seperate psu and all seemed ok. Took the GPU off to get a better look and it looks like the 10pin PCIE slot has burnt out. I'm assuming the GPU is the fault as the motherboard is 4 years old and hasn't caused me any grief ever.

Typically the GPU came from a well known auction site, I have tried contacting the seller and also powercolor directly to see if anyone can help me.

Is there anything else I can do at this point.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Jay
