I bought the ultima viper system that arrived on thursday, and have been having major problems while playing games. The graphics card is a ATI Radeon HD 5870.
Games such as Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty and nearly all my other games have run into a problem where the screen freezes and is covered by black, grey and white vertical lines.
I searched for this problem on the AMD forums and have discovered that it is a common problem with the HD 5xxx series. I installed the apparent fix:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles...rruptions.aspx
The problems have continued after multiple installs and restarts, and it is now impossible to play any game for long periods of time.
These are some examples of what happens to the screen:

After the system crashes, I have to force shut-down but it boots up fine after. All other programs and system run great, and when the games are working the quality is amazing.
Anyone know a fix for the problem? Also does anyone know what OCuk will likely do about it? Cause I don't really want to send the whole system off.
