Hi guys, I'm looking for a graphics card for £100ish, I was going for the GTX 650, but the 7850 has been suggested to me.

Here is the rest of the spec of the build I'm going for

The amd 7770 or 650 ti will give you better performance than the gtx 650. There has been a thread recently about the i3 bottle necking a 7850. If you are going to upgrade the cpu in the future the 7850 might be worth the extra.

or if you think you can pay the extra or are going to upgrade the cpu

Ya, even though the thread about the i3 suggests it does bottleneck the 7850 somewhat, you will still see better performance in games than the other cards from the extra GPU performance. A lot of games with AA and shaders turned up are using more than 1gb of ram these days aswell, so with the extra ram you could run nicely with settings turned up.

Really don't want to be going any lower than a 2500k with a 7850. Hard to believe but true. I see my Q8200 @3.0ghz bottle necking a overclocked HD7770 OC in our other computer.

You might also want to consider a FX6300 as an alternative CPU too.In games like Crysis3 it is faster during the more CPU intensive parts of the game.

If you can afford then the 7850 but ive heard the new 7790's are good performance aswell.

But the price is a still little silly at the moment, seeing as the old 7850 1gb was faster and available for £125 in the right place. If the OP is really strict about their £100, a 1gb 650ti is the best card to go for, in my opinion. Of course, if they're willing to spend the extra to get a 7850, they'll definitely notice it!

I think I'm going to stick with the Core I3, and go for a 2Gb 7790.

What power supply would be enough? I'm thinking I may have to up from a 430W to a 550w?

Agree with medseven - Definitely stick to 2GB VRAM whatever your choice of card. Especially important if you play newer games at higher resolutions and for future proofing. Looking at your spec, for PSU I reckon you'll be safe with at least 450w (based on you using a 7790) as long as it's good quality.

As an example, this XFX 450W (rebranded Seasonic) would be up to the job IMO.

I did a lot of research recently as I've upgraded my PSU this weekend and decided on an XFX after discovering it used Seasonic internals. I've no doubt the Corsair would suffice although i don't know any particulars about the underlying quality to be able to form a comparison.

My recommendation for an XFX 450 or 550w is based on research. They live up to their advertised wattage and have been proven to go even higher (not that you would or even need to on your setup) GFX manufacturers tend to be over zealous with their stated minimum wattage requirements as they know a lot of people might be using not so reputable PSU manufacturers whose advertised wattages often fall short of expectation.

Another word of advice if you do decide on an XFX - they extend your warranty to 5 years if you register with them within 30 days of purchase. A big plus for me which IMO means they're not expecting the unit to fail.
