graphics card for £115

Hello, could someone recommend a good graphics card or possibly the best one i could get for £115. I do not mind stretching it to £120 but no where above that.

I've been having a look at the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 link: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-216-SP

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The thread above is very similar to your question as 4890/5770 can be bought for £120 ish.

I have gone 5770 in RIG 1 (see sig) as it is future proofing (DX11).

Hi and welcome to the forum, for under £120 you won't get a better gpu new then that, 2nd hand maybe but not new.

So id say go for that if £120 is ur absolute max.

But if you can find £4 more this may be the better one thats currently on offer http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-219-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1515 especially if u plan to overclock it, also comes with 3 year warranty over the 2 year of the sapphire one.

Ok, thanks a lot for the advise but I do have one question about why overclocking the asus is better than overclocking the sapphire.

The Asus comes with voltage tweaking software that makes OCing it easier, that's about it.

Or you can download MSI Afterburner for free and tweak the OC settings in the CGF file as below sets out:

It works on my Powercolor 5770's @ 975 1375

I picked up my GTX 260 (216) for around that price... I am not up on ATI cards though, so I can't compare.

As is always, prices are set to drop soon, maybe you could wait? ... I couldn't

Ok, so all you get from the asus is the voltage software to make overclocking more easy to do but you could always use that MSI afterburner software to do it. On the other hand couldn't you just use the bios like you do for the processor?

One last thing is that how much more could you get from the card by overclocking?

so I have decided I am going to go with the sapphire 5770. (P.S this is and upgrade from a Geforce 7600 gt, gonna be a lot better hopefully)
