Hi all I have had my new DGM monitor for two weeks and I'm loving it.

However my gtx 660ti is having trouble running games at 2560x1440.

I am going to upgrade my graphics but I am torn between the gtx 680 and the 7970.

Current system specs are:

I7 3930k
Asus Rive
64gb Team DDR3
480gb SSD
Bitfenix Collosus
1250 Watt OCZ PSU

Thanks for your time.

if you are looking at that, i would go either 7970 or GTX 680 bare minimum if you want the best out of it. My friend has a 680 but even that struggles on some games (crysis) on ultra

Get a 7950 and overclock it, or if you're considering a GTX680, 2 7950s in crossfire.

The GTX680 isn't too good at anything over 1080p, so really, you're spending more money for a lot less performance by going for a 680.

I only have up to £400 so crossfire is out of the question. I would also rather not have two cards as my case doesn't seem great for cooling. Do the standard 7970's overclock to levels of the GHZ cards easily?

Thanks Tom
