Hey all, just after some info. I'm going to build a PC soon, and I'm wondering what graphics card to get. I havn't built a PC in 5 years, and I'm a bit behind...

Who is dominating the market at the moment, ATI or Nvidia?

I'm making a high-end gaming PC, one that will run Crysis and any new game on highest settings with no lag... And yeah I have a 19" Widescreen moinitor, I just don't like huge screens, this is fine for now. I won't be buying a bigger monitor anytime soon. :)

Would an Nvidia 295GTX be too much, then, for a 1440 x 900 res screen?

Would an ATI HD4890 (or something similar) be fine?

I havn't really thought this post out well, sorry, any answer is appreciated. :)

Hi,

GTX295 and HD4890/GTX275- overkill for 1440x900 and won't use full potential!

u'll be totaly fine with HD4850/HD4870/GTX260
some will say that even GTX260 and HD4870- overkill!

used to have same 19" and above cards... had no issue with playing games!

Even Crysis on Ultra High settings?
