A mate of mine is looking to buy a graphics card to fit into a Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF to boost up the graphics performance in games. The motherboard is a Dell 00V62H.

He’s been recommended a Geforce GT 1030 (PH-GT1030-O2G) but when he tried to put it in it was slightly too tall and too wide to fit as the power supply is too close.

I’m thinking you guys on here would have a much better idea than either of us so could anyone please make any recommendations on a suitable card that would fit in this case?

Thank you.

Seems to be one of those really nasty SFF boards where the x16 PCIe slot is shifted down so that you can only use a card that's both low-profile and single-slot. You can get GT 1030s which will fit that profile though. The ASUS GT1030-2G-BRK model for example, which also comes with the necessary low-profile bracket, whereas some don't.

I think that's the best you can do as well. There are more powerful low-profile cards like the 1050 Ti and 1650 (even the 750 Ti), but those are all two-slot designs AFAIK.

Thanks a lot Aretak, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of choice for this form factor and motherboard combo so appreciate the pointer to the ASUS GT1030-2G-BRK.

Will pass on the details, cheers.

If you can find one Gigabyte 750ti. Technically its a one slot because you can unplug the VGA plate which takes up a 2nd slot and then just use the ports on the actual card.
