Graphics card for an old system

A friend of mine is looking for a graphics card for his old rig. I know the whole thing needs updating but he's just after something cheap to make it a bit more current. Specs are

Q8200 clocked at 2.8
4GB DDR3 ram
9800GTX+
Antec 500w PSU

I was thinking anything modern would be a big upgrade even if it's held back a bit. He's been offered a gtx 660 but I'm not sure if the PSU would be enough.

Budget is £100 and happy to go 2nd hand any help would be appreciated.

The PSU is plenty for a 660 and that sounds like a good fit, Even something like a 5570 would do it okay but a 660 will definitely give it a big boost.

Will be able to get a gtx680 for around £80 second hand or a 7950 at around £70.
