Hello, just after a bit of advice.

I've got a friend, who is after a graphics card with HDMI out, to connect to they're telly.

It will only be used for thing's such as Skype and web browsing, and occasionally some streaming stuff from the comp, such as bbc iPlayer etc.

Budget is no more than £50 really.

Am I correct in thinking they won't actually need anything to major? Seeing as it isn't for games etc?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

Thanks Gareth :)

Any reason for the two? Would the ram make any difference regarding the situation?

Forgot to add, the t.v will naturally be running through the PC, and I believe the res of the t.v can goto 1920 x 1080p...If that makes a difference in the deciding factor.

He's linked me to two cards at just under £50, the 4650 512mb - ATI branded, and a 9500GT 512mb by Club 3d...

would these make any real world difference?

the cards are fanless so no nose. and still can do HD. vram won't make any different really.

Yeah, figured they might be a bit over kill...Would the res not make any difference to the card needed at all? As the system will have to keep the telly running decently at that res I stated...Not sure how it works regarding HD related thing's.
