Im planning on ditching my WDTV and upgrading my HP Microserver to replace my WDTV. I figure it is always on so i might as well use it for my media needs as im getting sick of the WDTV. So i did a bit of reading and figured all i need is a graphics card. It already has 2gb of RAM which im hoping is enough for 1080p. Can somebody recommend a cheap graphics card that will fit the Microserver and will be suitable for my needs? It is going to serve as a Audio out too. Im looking to spend as little as possible, £20-30.
Any advice welcome.

EDIT: I will be using Linux and i heard Nvidia cards are more compatible driver wise.

I don't know budget nvidia cards very well, so I can only suggest the Radeon 5450/6450.

Whichever card you go for, it has to be a small one, and very low power. The Microserver only has a 200/250W PSU and very limited space.

The first thing most people do w2ith a microsevrer is up the ram. Getting an extra 2GB or or 4GB really isn't pricey these days.

There's a dedicated thread for the microserver over here:

I have built a few systems around the 5450 and they are great little HTPC/Server cards... get a passive version which will mean no noise :P
