Graphics card for this spec

Hello,

I have thrown together this spec for £260 including delivery. I was told by someone that the graphics card I have chosen isnt a very good one. Can you suggest a card thats of a similiar price range for me?

There aren't many good cards in the same price range as the 7300GS. But if you stretch your budget you could get a 7600GT which will do fine with current gen games. Or you could wait till next month and get the 8600GT/GTS, but they could be a bit more expensive.

The card is fine if you don't game a lot, if you do play games you need to put more money on the graphics card.

Which of these two would you say?

256MB MSI GeForce 7300GT for £55.32

or

512MB Foxconn GeForce 7300GT for £60.28

They key element is the GDDR3 memory. To be fast, it has to have it.

Do a quick search on this forum and think again.

Mind you though the ones that blown up have all been the 580W modular Type-R.

512Mb is a WASTE on 7300GT, it's more of a marketing gimmick than anything. Even if it's only £5 more I'd still get the 256Mb one.
