I recently bought an ATI Radeom x850XT and i'm recently getting a lot of glithes while i play Oblivion. They can occasionally get so bad the the whole screen is covered with polygons.

Is this a driver or a card issue and what would you recommend to resolve this?

Thanks

I downloaded ATI tool and within 10 secs of the Artifact test, there were artifacts all over the screen :/

What do you suggest?

Make sure the temps are ok? When you open ati tool, dont show the 3d render. Look at the temps and report back here

Those are the speeds of core and memory, i cant quite remember what ATi tool looks like, but there should be some digits to the left side of the window, bottom left i think?

i downloaded ATiTool 0.24 and i've had a look about and i can't see anything to do with temperatures

The Catalyst Control Centre panel says i'm at 44 degrees at the moment.

I then ran the artifact check and it started to artifact when the temp got to 69 degrees.

Your core is underclocked aswell  its suppose to be at 540 but that doesnt really matter its looking like an RMA ... unlucky mate

You could try underclocking the ram to 400 and see if the artifacts go away. If they do, then the ram is probably faulty and it's rma time.

I've put webnote for an RMA on the site so hopefully something will happen. I've got a spare 9800pro i can use in the meanwhile ^_^
