ok its not actually made a loud noise but its not displaying a picture any more. PC boots up i hear the noise but there is nothing back..... i dont get any picture.
its been fine before i havent had any issues. I have tried hdmi and dvi and nothing.
i thought it was the monitor but ruled that out by connecting laptop to it
any suggestions? ive taken it out and plugged it back in and nothing :(

Does everything start 'spinning'? If so, that sort of rules out a PSU issue?

Can you try it with on-boards? If so that will confirm its the GPU.

how long did you leave battery out for? sometimes it needs 30 minutes

tried using onboard graphics to see if you get a picture?

I dont suppose you have another graphics card to try in it? Or know anyone that you can borrow one off?

m687-p8 pro m
crucial m4 256gb ssd
what i have in my sig
silverstone 750w psu

Can you recheck the mobo model number? That doesn't seem right. But if it's a P67 board... then there's no way to use the onboard GPU.

On the other hand, you said you took the CMOS battery out and now nothing is happening? Even no fan spinning or lights on the motherboard?

the light goes blue on the monitor likes its there but just doesnt come through, my laptop works on the monitor and my grfx card used to

ive tried both dvi cables i have and a hdmi cable as well from the pc but nothing
