Graphics card gone silly..

Hi, started my computer this morning and as it booted up there was little lines all over the screen (as it did the memory check and all that), goes as far as windows loading message and then nothing just a black screen. If I boot in safe mode screen looks ok.

I put my Nvidia 6200 in and everything is ok.

any thoughts please...(just emailed OcUK for a RMA number)

What card were you using before the 6200?

Maybe a driver problem. Try un-installing your drivers and then re-installing them

He said it started in the BIOS window, before drivers were loaded, so it looks like a dead card.

Yeah as above, be a dead card if its BIOS corruption id have thought.

thanks for advice, looks like my card is faulty (read about a few 6800gt AGP borking on here). Got a RMA to return it OcUK it is just over a month old and run at stock speed.

One thing worries me I bought the last one, do they repair my card or replace it with another?

If it cant be replaced with that exact model, i think it is replaced with something similar (may be better or worse)
